Tony's Di Napoli is a rare find in New York City. While most dining in the city involves squeezing into narrow aisles to be seated shoulder-to-shoulder with other patrons, Tony's in Times Square offers comfortable seating as well as savory Italian cuisine. Being in business for almost 60 years, they know how to make their customers happy.

The atmosphere is welcoming and spirited. The art collection covering the walls with images of Broadway stars, the lighting, ambrosia, and festive setting all contribute to this engaging dining experience. The waitstaff operates with the efficiency of a brigade, attentive to every table's needs. The service is paced well, fast but not rushed. This is no small feat. Given the ability to seat large parties, the eatery is ideal for rhapsodic celebrations, office parties and family gatherings.

The menu is extensive, portion sizes are generous, ingredients are fresh and the presentation is amazing. Dishes are served family-style on big platters, which complements the comfort food and adds to the fun. In addition to traditional Italian fare like Chicken Piccatta and Ravioli Bolognese, there are delectable specialties such as Tony's Arugula and Tony's Veal. Whole wheat and gluten-free pasta dishes are available upon request.

Though it is hard to hold back from cleaning your plate, leave room for one of the mouthwatering desserts such as Chocolate Decadence or Tony's Brownie Sundae. An all-time favorite is Tartuffo. The menu states family desserts serve two to three people but, after a satisfying meal, this is probably an underestimate.

The restaurant draws crowds, so reservations are recommended. Arrive early and enjoy the bar during the wait. The hostess will try to seat customers earlier than the appointed time if their entire party is present. Tony's Di Napoli is also located on the Upper East Side on 3rd Avenue between 63rd and 64th Streets. Both locations are open seven days per week for lunch and dinner, and also offer private party rooms and catering.
